We have decided to refinance and the current lawyer brought to our attention that MacDonald Notary had made a mistake on my wife’s name name and they had to amend the error costing us an over chá he on his part... The lawyer suggested that we would contact the Notary so we could be refunded given that they had made the mistake. I contacted the Notary and when Shelly Spicer came to the phone aware why I was calling she was rude, started yelling at me saying she didn’t care what the lawyer said. She also mentioned that given that both my wife and I had initialled the paperwork that it was on us and not them. I try to rationalize with this lady explaining that my wife and I had no way of knowing that this would become an issue. That was their job to make sure that this wouldn’t be an issue. Shelly made no attempt to resolute this issue simply put the blame on us for a mistake that they made. Extremely unprofessional! She couldn’t care less. I do not recommend this notary to anyone. I am now pursuing this matter with my lawyer.
